We use four grades of birch veneer to produce plywood: B, S (I), BB (II), CP (III), C (IV).
The plywood grades are formed from the veneer grades used in the outer layers – in the front and back side. For example, plywood with grade B veneer on the front and grade BB veneer on the back side are designated B/BB – the highest grade is specified first.

B (I)

Description of grade B:

The plywood of gradeB (I) has a near-perfect light color surface. Light pin knots and light intergrown knots 20 mm in diameter in the amount of 8 pcs/m2 are allowed. Closed cracks 250 mm long, but not more than 5 pcs. per meter of plywood sheet length. No knots with veneer inserts are allowed. Slight color and stripe variations are possible. False heart is not allowed. Other wood defects and flaws are strictly limited.
Grade B (I) is the main decorative grade for manufacturing of high quality furniture, wall panels and interior items, children’s tove and couvenire. It is ideal for coating with UV-varnich.

                                                                                                                                           S (I)
Description of grade S (1):
Grade S (I) has a near-perfect light color surface. It
differs from grade B (I) by more wood defects are allowed here, for example, dark knots. Closed knots, as well as blotches and veins that are larger, but false
core is not allowed.
The main difference of grade B (I) is that in grade S (I) knotting with inserts is possible. The veneer inserts matched by color and grain orientation, but not more than 1 pc./m2. Sealing of cracks is not allowed. Grade S (I) is the main decorative grade for manufacturing of high quality furniture, wall panels and interior items, children’s toys and souvenirs. It is ideal for coating with the UV-varnish.

                                                                                                                                           BB (II)
Description of grade BB (II):
In grade BB (II), light and dark knots up to 25 mm in diameter in the amount of not more than 20 pcs/m2 are allowed. Closed knots 300 mm long, but not more than 10 pcs. per meter of the sheet length. Unlike grade I (B,S), open knots are sealed with putty. The loose knots are closed with inserts matched by color and grain orientation, but not more grade I (B,S), open knots are sealed with more than 10 pcs. per meter of the sheet length. outty. The loose knots are closed with inserts matched by color and grain orientation, but not more than 12 pcs./m2. Double inserts are allowed. Change n color (veins, spotting) is possible up to 50% of the surface, false core up to 25%. Glue stain, sanding of exterior layers and grainy Deeling is allowed. 

 CP (III)

Description of grade CP (III):
In grade CP (III), light and dark knots and loose knots up to 6 mm in diameter are allowed without limitations. Close knots without limitations. Unlike grade II (BB), veneer inserts not matching by color and grain orientation are allowed. Double inserts without limitations. Discoloration (veins, blotches), as well as mineral streaks and sap together with the
false core up to 75% is possible.
Glue stain, sanding of exterior layers up to 2% and  grainy peeling is allowed.

Grade CP (III) is the main structural material for manufacturing of furniture, parquet boards, HPL- panels, sheathing of vehicles.

                                                                                                                                              C (IV)
Description of grade C (IV):
In grade C (IV), timber defects are allowed almost without limitations. Intergrown knots without limitations, loose knots up to 40 mm in diameter in the amount of 10 pcs./m2. Close and open knots not more than 10 mm long without limitations. Inserts not matched by color and grain orientation are allowed, as well as loose inserts. Discoloration (veins, blotches, 

false heart), glue stain, breaking out of grain is not limited, sanding of the sheet surface up to 5%.
Grade C (IV) is the main for the packing industry, construction, furniture to be covered.
